I knew it was gonna rain tonight so I got the bag of sand out today, poured it into a container, and let my children enjoy their last dry afternoon for a while.
Materials:
one plastic container (large is good)
a bag of sand ($5 for 50lbs)
small toys
hand shovels
interested kids
They absolutely loved doing this. I've seen others use this inside the house with dry beans and/or rice.
