Andrew can write his name and often puts the letters in order. Still, we try to practice writing it everyday in some form. Yesterday, I gave him sticky letters to see if he could place them in order on his chipboard initial. He got the order right but turned some of the letters in the wrong direction. Next, he wrote his name in glue and then put stale Cheerios on top. This time, he again knew the correct letters but didn't place them in order.....and definitely not all in the right direction. He was so happy with his work and I just had to take a picture of his proud smile.
Practice, practice, practice....it will eventually bring perfection....well, kind of.
