Some kids call their mother Mom, Mommy, or Mother....
...mine call me Mama and I like it that way.
There's something that's so endearing to hear them refer to me as Mama. I'm sure it has something to do with my own childhood and what I still call my own mother to this day. The sound of hearing "Mama" come from their mouths makes me so, so happy.
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more,
with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent,
and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ,

Little Hoke calls me "mom" or "mommy" and my mother "mamma". It is so funny! Emily calls her "grandma" but he insists she is "Mamma!" She LOVES it! My dad is his "papa".
My kids call me Mama too. And sometimes Mom.
